As a result of these efforts and in cooperation with Yoko Ono, Epiphone proudly reissues two Limited Edition John Lennon Casinos. During the examination, measurements were carefully performed, body tracings were done, drawings were created, and photographs were taken. In November 1997, a team of engineers from Epiphone and Gibson visited 'The Dakota' in Manhattan to examine John's Epiphone Casino. Unlike other models, the Lennon Casino was assembled and finished at Gibson USA in Nashville, Tennessee, from parts manufactured in Japan.Įach example features the serial number of Lennon's original Casino on the headstock, along with an individual number on an interior label. Introduced in 1999, these limited edition models were limited to 1,965 combined units and were available for approximately 10 years. Offered in two distinct models, the '1965' and 'Revolution,' it is based on John Lennon's 1965 Epiphone E230TD Casino.
The John Lennon Casino is a hollowbody electric archtop guitar.
